So here I'm again, it's been over a year now till i've came back from Asia and to be honest with you guys I wasn't intent of going back there any time soon. Number of important things/changes has happened to me ever since like tithing up my relationship which obviously brought me back to Warsaw. Where to this day I haven't found any serious job, which obviously creates this massive issue like lack of money.
So yeah, it wasn't easy to start with and when I really started doing something about it, Emilia sent me a message that she just got a project in Manila and she will be going there in a week, max 2 weeks time. Wow! What a message - Philippines even in a raining season must be amazing, countless number of islands, new totally unknown culture for me, or the fact that I will probably go there for free. No matter how great opportunity it seemed, few minutes of analyzing my current situation brought some serious doubts. I was having few job interviews going on, it was this moment when I finally started feeling things got on the right track and it felt good. So yes, have to say that, I had some serious doubts about this whole trip. Thankfully or maybe not, depends on the way you look at that but after few days I got emails saying, “thanks Radek but we don't want you!” Fcuk it!! So here I'm now, Monday, Jul 4th, 2 days to go where the new adventure starts. It won’t Asia just yet, as i've mention earlier, my current account is clear so as my saving account haven't got much left. There is always one answer to this, London, always comes in hand with my financial problems, so good bless the Queen.
I recon around 3-4 weeks of hard work ;) will be enough to get me some cash to live, so still not quite there yet but time passes quickly and those 4 weeks will pass like nothing. Even though I'm getting quite excited already, all those plans, thoughts going through my head. What to do, where to go, I have even emailed a friend of mine who works for a non-profit organization if they have any projects running in Manila or Cebu so I can do some voluntary work. I might not be able to build a school or a hospital but still in such a poor country any help will do. On the other hand there is couple of places I've missed the last time I was there, so it could be nice to spend some of time there travelling for a bit. It obviously depends on Emi and her work, so we'll see, for that moment it's only a plan. The good thing is that I'm getting a 21 days visa, so by the end of august I am going to have to do a visa run - Malaysia will be probably the easiest, cheapest too (everyone loves Air Asia). Then from Malaysia it's only a matter of few dollars to get to Singapore, Vietnam or maybe even Burma, who knows. I really can't wait as it'll be so different then the last time, it’s monsoon time, obviously the weather is not gonna be as friendly, but it will hopefully bring the prices down and most of the places won't be as crowded. And who knows, I might be able to see things I wouldn't see in a dry season.
In terms of preparation, I have to mention that the last few days in Warsaw weren’t great and the amount of rain we got was a good warm up for us, so know it might only get better. We all know that it might rain a lot out there but it's usually warm rain, which makes a big difference.
Cool, so that's it for now, will write more pretty soon, just have to do the packing now and spend some time with Emi as we won’t be seeing each other for about a month now:(
Stay safe to next time..
